No matter how many bad shots you play in a round, you always feel better about yourself when a professional manages to get it wrong.

Whether its a shank or a top, some of the best golfers around the world have that lapse in concentration and unfortunately for them, the cameras are always there to catch them.

Here are some mistakes from players you wouldn’t expect, starting with Tiger Woods. Gratned, he has come back after a long spell out injured and was definitely nowhere near his best when he played this, but this chip was on a different level. Practicing for the Hero Challenge this year, Woods finished last and this shot wouldn’t have done his confidence any favours.

Brandt Snedeker is known to be lethal with a putter in his hands but at The Masters he turned into a 36 handicapper. On the par- three fourth at Augusta, Snedeker completely lost his head and managed a five putt.

Playing at Pinehurst is difficult enough with the array of traps but Justin Rose showed everybody he was human at the 2013 US Open when he duffed a chip just yards short of the green. The club went further than the ball.

One of the most painstaking mistakes when learning to play golf is constantly topping the ball. The better you are the rarer the error but Shane Lowry, who finished ninth at the Open Championship this year, shows that even the professionals are prone to the odd top.

Nearly every golf supporter would like to see Sergio Garcia win a major after coming so close. He has had his fair share of bad luck, the PGA Championship against Padraig Harrington in 2007 stands out, but he will never win a major with bunker shots like this.
