Take your pick of three stunning courses on offer. The Algarve is known for it’s high standard of golf and the courses at Sao Rafael have to be up there with the best in the region. Firstly, the Morgado Course is the sister course of Alamos and like the others, it will offer a tricky challenge. Large, undulating greens means putting will have to be on point to shoot well and accuracy from the tee will also prove beneficial.
The Alamos course is dominated by two large lakes and provides amazing views of the Monchique Mountains, the vineyards and shows scenery of the inner peaceful Algarve. Whilst the Morgado is set amongst the unspoiled countryside, the Alamos offers a variety of different holes and plays shorter than the Morgado. It also has half the bunkers but more trees to contend with.
Finally the Salgados course is a whole different kettle of fish. The land remains flat but 17 out of the 18 holes have water hazards and with the unpredictable winds, an off day means you may need to pack extra golf balls.
