Lynx has launched a new set of Black Cat irons that is says is packed with technology. After debuting the clubs to acclaim at the Golf Show in Harrogate, the company, which has been making top-notch stuff since the 1970s but paled into the background in recent years, looks to be back on the map.<\/p>\n

The Black Cat brand has always been synonymous with styling and these are no exception \u2013 but golfers will welcome a retail price point of under \u00a3400 (5-SW \u00a3389).<\/p>\n

A carefully crafted two-piece head includes a maraging steel face, variable face thickness and an Efficient Energy Transfer (EET) system alongside Lynx’s own twin-slot technology, first seen in its Boom Boom irons.<\/p>\n

Lynx says this combination gives better feel, distance and control.<\/p>\n

CEO Steve Elford added: “If I’m honest, I’m amazed at how much technology we’ve been able to introduce into the Black Cat irons and keep the price to a sensible level for most golfers.<\/p>\n

“Over the past couple of years Lynx has become known for its innovation and this really couldn’t be more evident than in the Black Cat irons… not only because of the high build qualities, where materials like maraging steel have been used, but in our belief that game changing technology should be available to all golfers.”<\/p>\n

The new Lynx Black Cat irons are available in a choice of red or blue inlay livery and in TrueTemper 85g steel (RRP \u00a3389) or Lynx graphite (RRP \u00a3429) shafts in regular or stiff, with matching dual colour grips. An optional 4-iron and AW gap wedge are also available.<\/p>\n
