Wynyard: power to the people!

By August 24, 2010No Comments

One of Your Golf Travel’s most popular north of England venues, Wynyard Golf Club in Cumbria, is on the verge of a major new expansion of its facilities. The proposed new multimillion pound development comprises a new 50-bedroom hotel, tennis courts, luxury spa, pool, gymnasium and restaurant, together with significant improvements to the clubhouse and championship golf course.

Whether it proceeds all hangs on whether the locals like what they see. The management of Wynyard Golf Club is inviting local residents and members of the public to view these proposals and for 50 exclusive residences.

Stuart Monk, the managing director of the Jomast Group, which includes Wynyard Golf Club, explained: “The proposals are about creating new superb leisure facilities, enhancing the championship golf course and adding some new and very exclusive residences. All of the proposals are linked and will create an unrivalled development and build on the success of Wynyard.”

The plans are being put on public display in The Wellington Suite of Wynyard Golf Club on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th August 2010. Members of the public can view them from 3pm-7pm.
