Set on the beautiful Spanish island of Gran Canaria, Bandama Golf Hotel is the perfect destination for a golf holiday in the sun. In the Atlantic Ocean, just off the west coast of Africa, Gran Canaria benefits from a year-round sunshine, ideal for golfers looking for a winter escape. Bandama Golf Hotel is located just 20-minutes from Gran Canaria Airport and 15-minutes from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, so you’ll be staying in a great spot for exploring the Island. Just a few metres away from the hotel lies Real Club de Golf Las Palmas, Spain’s oldest golf course. Running alongside the Caldera de Bandama volcanic crater, the course is relatively short but gaping ravines and small greens make it tough enough to offer a fair challenge.

0800 043 6644Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas has the unique honour of being Spain’s oldest golf club, having initially been founded in 1891, in 1957 it moved to its current site where the 18-hole course was designed by Mackenzie Ross. The course begins by skirting along the edge of the volcanic crater, moving further inland as you play. The views are stunning, from various points on the course you can see the Gran Canaria highlands, the Caldera crater and the northern coast. Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas plays as a challenging but very enjoyable test of golf, whilst not the longest course, narrow fairways and small greens means your accuracy needs to be on form to score low.
