Nothing grand but clean and comfortable, smaller hotel so felt more intimate/ informal. Food and service were excellent.

There was no restaurant open, dinner was provided in the bar complete with 2 large TV screens.Staff totally inflexible on the issue choosing from the 2 menus offered. The hotel was offering a golf and dinner deal cheaper than YGT!
Rooms were spot on staff very helpful we had a good time on and off the golf course will be going back soon.
The hotel and bar is quite small, but everything was a decent quality. If you want a lively atmosphere you are unlikely to find it here, but everyone is friendly and helpful. The bar area is clean and the food Nice.
Friendly accommodating staff, room very comfortable and clean, breakfast was very good and plenty of it. Had to eat the evening meal in the bar which although was set out nicely was very noisy due to other groups . Ceiling was very high and think that didn't help. Was nice to be able to watch the Fed Ex cup on the two TVs although couldn't hear it for the noise. Food was Ok but obviously frozen fish and stick chips. The veg. lasagne was nice and the beef casserole & mash was fine. The bar sandwiches the next day were good. Overall for the price it was good.

The course is long but quite open. Our group liked the layout but we all agreed that it needs some TLC. The professional was welcoming and helpful.
The course had obviously suffered with the dry Summer, the tees were in poor condition, greens were good.
Golf course is very well kept some very tricky holes the rough is unforgiving so made us concentrate more loved playing the course.
The course and greens in particular were in great condition. We played at 13:00 on the first day and never saw another golfer on the course. Very varied layout, with freedom to play off the tee, but plenty to challenge you throughout. Some long holes that would prove brutal on a windy day, fortunately there was no wind when we played. Friendly staff in pro shop, definitely would recommend this course.
The course is very long and challenging. Weather was very windy , cold and sometimes wet but the course was playable which was amazing after the amount of rain over the last week. It wasn't even really wet or muddy as we did not expect to be able to use a buggy but it was fine. some interesting holes and lovely views although the noise from the M40 was quite loud on some holes - probably due to us being so high and the noise travelling up. Toilets on the course were clean and an added bonus. There was a halfway house on the 11/12th but not open- possibly due to the time of year and weather. It took about 4 hours and we were not held up at all which is a pleasant change. Pro staff were exceptional helpful, especially Kalum.
