Situated in the heart of England, Nottingham sits quietly in the East Midlands and with a great network of motorways running through the county, Nottingham is a great option for a lot of golfers. The city has everything you need to have a great night out, for a local bar with great live music, try Jam Cafe, if you prefer cocktail bars and nightclubs head into the town centre.
Nottingham is much more than bars and golf (if you want it to be!), there is a rich history and dynamic culture including the Nottingham Contemporary Arts Centre, as well as fantastic golf courses. The well known home to Robin Hood, Sherwood Forest is a must when visiting the area.

The rolling countryside of rural Nottinghamshire plays host to some excellent golf courses, predominantly Heathland and Parkland in style, there is certainly enough to test golfers of all abilities. One not to be missed and very highly regarded both regionally and nationally is Notts Golf Club, this heathland layout is a real beauty and has played host to regular Open qualifying events over the years.
Sherwood Forest is also ranked in the top 100 in the UK, another heathland gem, originally designed by Harry Colt and further enhanced by James Braid. Other courses of note in the East Midlands are The Nottinghamshire, Coxmoor and Workshop Golf Clubs.
