With an altitude of 881 metres, Gunung Raya is hailed as the highest peak in Langkawi. The dense rainforest is home to numerous wildlife including lead monkeys, flying foxes and mountain hawk eagles. Gunung Raya is also a popular destination for hiking, however it is advised to bring a guide along as it is no easy trek.
