Hanoi is an excellent destination for all travelling golfers and as the capital, you can be sure to enjoy the many tourist attractions on offer. As you walk through the urban maze, the smell of the delicious local street food will guide you towards the hustle and bustle of the markets. However visitors will experience contrasting atmospheres at the serene but mesmerising Temple of Literature, just one of the many impressive architectural buildings in the city.
East of Hanoi is Ha Long Bay, probably Vietnam’s most popular tourist attraction and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994.
Around Ha Long Bay there are spectacular views, which you can also see from the FLC Ha Long Bay Golf Club which has a backdrop onto the Bay right from the golf courses. Hanoi also features a couple of courses that feature in the top 10 Vietnam golf courses, Van Tri and Sky Lake Resort.
Boasting two picturesque courses, the resort's pedigree has been acknowledged by renowned designers across the world with the Mountain View and the Lakeside Courses.
Sky Lake Resort is another fantastic 36-hole golf club with the Sky and Lake courses, both measuring up to PGA standards, which comes at no surprise why both courses feature very highly in Vietnam.
Running parallel to the Van Tri Dam, it comes as no surprise that there are various water hazards around the course, with pine tree-lined fairways to test any golfer.
Hanoi has a rich history with plenty of amazing venues to visit whilst in Hanoi. The Opera House is set in the heart of the French Quarter and is arguably one of the most elegant buildings in all of Hanoi, and is used for opera and dance performances. The Temple of Literature is another charming building, that was previously used by royalty, which is now a memorial to education and literature.
Probably the most recognisable and iconic spot in Vietnam, Ha Long Bay is an incredible sight dotted around with lots of tiny islands, caves and grottos, producing a spectacular scenery. Most people explore Ha Long Bay on a day trip or an overnight stay when travelling from Hanoi.
You’re never more than a few steps away from a Hanoi street food vendor, where everything is priced incredibly cheaply to make you want to sample a little bit of everything. Not only is the food amazing, but Coffee is also an attraction too, with absolute must try local egg coffee.
