Golf Courses at Golf D’Hardelot
Les Pins Course
As its name suggests, Les Pins is carved through Hardelot's magnificent pine forest, and the course has a rich tradition. Originally presided over by the Duke of Argyll, there is a strong British link at this French classic, but the course really came to the fore with Tom Simpson's 1931 redesign.
The host of many prestigious national and international professional events, Les Pins is a subtle course that demands accuracy and sound strategy above all else. Measuring 6,480 yards, the course is not long, but the greens are tricky and a tight short game will be needed to tame this established championship layout.
“I love courses like this. It reminds me of a Sunningdale, St George’s Hill or a smaller Wentworth. Because it’s not massively long you can really get scoring if you keep the ball in play. But it will punish you if you hit it offline; it’s tree-lined and the drop-offs around the greens will certainly test your short game. An amazing track.” - Mark Crossfield, PGA Pro
Les Pins Course at Hardelot is ranked as one of the best courses in Northern France
Les Dunes course
Les Dunes is Hardelot's second course, but since its inception in 1990 has been a welcome addition to the region's rich golfing portfolio. Designed by Belgian architect Paul Rollin, Les Dunes typifies the Côte d'Opale landscape, set amid the delightful dunes, lakes and mature woodland.
The 6,258 yard layout is distinctly different in character to its illustrious neighbour, but this diversity makes Hardelot all the more attractive. Watch out for the subtly sloping putting surfaces, closely guarded by strategically positioned bunkers.
"Les Dunes is a fantastic looking course; short, tight, in great condition and just really intricate with tree-lined fairways and great greens. If you don’t hit fairways you can become unstuck very quickly. I really enjoyed it." - Mark Crossfield, PGA Pro

Simply put, a top, top class course. Fairways, Tees and Greens were immaculate. Visually stunning too. The rough punished on occasion but they've got the balance just right on being forgiving enough too. So many memorable holes, with challenging bunker placements. The re-worked 18th green behind the water has given the signature finish the course deserves.
Really testing course with some great holes. Highly recommended.
One of our favourite courses and as usual in very good condition. A joy to play here.
This course gets better and better each year and they have removed some of the unnecessary rough which has improved enjoyment. A top quality course.
Personal opinion, in the top ten in the world. Disappointing clubhouse and in parts, municipal. Course is a magnificent layout.
The best terrace for pre and post drinks of any course in the world
Les Pins course is one of the best courses I have ever played. Every hole is stunning ! And what an area to play golf in Hardelot was ! Beautiful! Fairways and greens were in great condition. Sand in the bunkers was a bit low but they were proper hazards ! Lovely clubhouse and sports bar and very friendly staff !
Played both courses and impressed with both. Couldn’t pick a favourite as both good.
Good and looking forward to our next trip there.
Good course, generally in good condition, some fairways on the back 9 a bit scrappy but didn't spoil our round, great par 3's All staff very friendly and helpful.
Best course to play on, never get tied of this, always in excellent condition great varied holes. All Staff very welcoming and helpful. 4th year coming here and 1st on the list for the next visit
beautiful course and a course i would play again
The course is in excellent condition for the time of year. The improvements made in the last few years have made it better. The greens were good. Staff helpful, and good facilities.
The course is very good, it is in good condition for this time of year. Again mot too busy, which was good, staff polite.
A great course which is a real test particularly when there is a 2 club wind blowing . Always a challenge but a pleasure . Sports bar in club house is poor as food offering is baquettes or baquettes and they take 15 mins to appear .
Excellent golf course. Great condition throughout. A real pleasure to play the course.
Fairways ( helped by fairway watering) and greens were in fantastic condition throughout. A real pleasure to play the course again
Great course will play it again soon.
Great course. Quite difficult.
Les Pins is just a great experience. The course is beautiful, the clubhouse smart and comfortable and the service is very slick. A must play in this area of France.
Society in front of us, played off the whites were slow. Smash it and find it strategy!!
Good course, one of our favourites. Will book again
GREAT CONDITION TO COMPARED 3 YEARS AGO. A MIX OF WOBURN AND WENTWORTH. SO GREAT VALUE.
I was speechless at this course. What a fabulous course. It was in immaculate condition. Defo needs to be played
fantastic as always
had a great time and managed to dodge the rain
this course is a difficult course, and with wind and rain not a good choice. We were lucky enough as we had strong wind but not as much rain as was predicted. It was a very busy course.
Played in a gale and this course would be hard in no wind so was very very hard indeed. Greens in great condition ( when we eventually got there) and the course is stunning. The clubhouse staff are great but the menu was limited on the day. Again one of the must plays
Nice course if you are a long hitter of the ball
Love this course some greet holes shame we could only play the one game there as they had a pro am on our last day
Very good, spoilt by the condition of the Dunes, but still very enjoyable to play
The course was superb, very well manicured
Tough course with many Par 4 holes in excess of 400 yards, lots of variation, with tight fairways and huge Pine Trees. Definitely will be playing this one again next year. The course was in stunning condition and an absolute pleasure to play around.
Absolutely stunning condition and would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to play in the area. Brilliant first tee shot and final approach shot required over the lake. It is such a laugh watching the trials and tribulations of my fellow golfers, many of whom succumb to the pressure of the moment and end up sticking the ball in the water!
Nice layout, good condition, ideal for day three when everyone is feeling the pace
Great course...best in the area
Third visit to the Dunes, very crowded course not conducive to a good game, bunkers awful, due to possible players in front not racking, shame on them !!
First times at the Pines, very underrated, just wish the weather had been better, excellent greens for the time of year, a excellent friendly staff, Very helpful.
great course. The harder of the 2, I love the work recently done to bring back more of the natural dunes and waste areas. I think the Dunes course is now more exciting with the work done, but this will always stand as a great test of golf.
This layout is fantastic, even more so now with the work done. Unfortunately we were not informed there would be a hole out of action and a temporary green, this ended up affecting us on 3 holes which was massively disappointing. I emphasised to my YGT salesman regarding any 'heavy' course maintenance to which we was told there was not. Very frustrating as the full course is very special.
Lovely course - not too long - interesting. Greens weren't the best because they had not long trated them - but didnt spoil the round - we really enjoyed it
Lovely course but greens very slow and bumpy
A really nice course.
We love this course it is in such good condition and so picturesque with the houses lining the fairway.
played in a two club wind greens a little bare but it was early March
Great .A perfect round on a perfect day . Helped by the very helpful english pro .We were late ,partly the eurotunnel and partly getting to Folkestone. Plus the club did not have our booking. But they managed it superbly so all good
Super course, lovely quiet surroundings.
Excellent very enjoyable.
A great course nicely laid out with some great holes over water. Very reminiscent of the quality associated with golf courses in the USA.
Always like playing here, the Pine Forest is picturesque and the course is well laid out. It needs some thought when playing a few of the holes, It can bite you!
Despite being rated in the top ten courses in France, we found Pins to be the poor relation of the two courses with Dunes far superior. Lots of people on the course so the round slowed badly towards the end. An enjoyable day but I wouldn’t go out of my way to do it again.
Beautiful course in good condition. Can highly recommend.
The course was presented very well, probably the best condition I have seen it. All 16 of us really enjoyed it.
We played just before the European Tour event so the pins were just ridiculous. Several holes were kind of unplayable with balls running off the green even if you stopped it within a foot.
A lovely course and some really challenging (!) greens. Looks forward to returning although perhaps prefer Les Dunes
A nice end to our Ryder Cup trip, very quite so no one in front or behind except a 2 ball in a buggy that we let through. Friendly staff and a nice patio area to enjoy a post match beer
A four all, we played three consecutive days and loved it. Quiet, no queues a challenge but fair. We will return.
I had been looking forward to this course for a while after seeing Rory, Crossfield, Lockey and Dan play it on the VLOGs, and I was not disappointed at all in person. Played in amongst the pine trees, it is a spectacular setting, and a real treat for any handicapper. The course itself plays a bit like the Dukes at Woburn or Kings Lynn GC - tree lined fairways which favours accuracy off the tee, but if you are wayward it is very difficult to lose golf balls despite all those trees ... Some of the bunkers are huge and challenging to get out of, and the greens run very true but again have great undulation to them. The front 9 holes play tighter than the back 9 holes, with the signature hole being the risk reward par 4 15th. Great course and I will be looking to get back there asap.
Course was perfect and had a wonderful day
Some interesting holes with plenty of bunkers especially on the par 3s.tree lined but plenty of fairway to aim at. Greens and fairways in good condition. Small club house but adequate food if required.
A very interesting course with some great holes,a lot of the greens were elevated which left some blind shots to the green. The 18th hole was spectacular. Good greens and fairways.club house was good with a balcony overlooking the 1st and 18th hole.
Beautiful course but spoilt by the dreadfully slow play there were 3 x 4 balls waiting when we joined the last tee
Top course great test hugely enjoyable, enough said
