The good thing about De Vere Selsdon Estate was the location. The rooms are in major need of refurbishment/modernisation. The food at dinner, once it eventually arrived was luke warm at best. The drinks prices were massively inflated (even to the point were the bottle of red wine on the menu priced at £42 is being sold at the waitrose round the corner for £6 !!!) All of which could have been forgiven if the golf course itself was good ... unfortunately this was not the case. The pro-shop did not control the tee off times ... they let a group of 5 off in front of us making a 6.5 hour round in the rain unacceptable. This combined with poor course management with regards to up keep of the greens etc. spoiling what should have been a good weekend golf stay. We would not be recommending the De Vere Selsdon hotel of golf course to anyone else.
