3 Nights, 2 Rounds

    • 3 Nights Bed and Breakfast at Sheraton Golf Parco De’ Medici Hotel & Resort
    • 2 Rounds at Blue Course, White Course or Red Course

Sheraton Golf Parco de' Medici is one of those rare Rome stays where you can genuinely do both: proper golf in the morning and a big-city afternoon without turning the trip into a logistical headache. The hotel sits right in the middle of a 27-hole complex, so you're not shuttling around for tee times, and it's a short drive from Fiumicino airport with Rome's historic centre around eight miles away.

The vibe is modern resort rather than old-school members' club, which suits a golf break nicely. You can keep things simple, roll out of bed, head to the first tee and then decide how "golf-heavy" the week needs to be. If you're travelling with non-golfers, you've also got an easy win: while you're chasing a score, they can be planning the Colosseum, the Vatican or just a long Roman lunch.

If you're building a wider itinerary, this is a very handy base for a golf holiday to Italy, especially for groups who want convenience, variety and a bit of sightseeing baked in.

Who is this for?
Golfers who want to combine quality golf with Rome sightseeing, couples looking for a trip that works for golfers and non-golfers alike, and groups who value convenience, variety and the chance to play multiple rounds without travelling far from a major city.

Who is it best for?
Mid-handicappers who want accessible, enjoyable golf on well-kept courses, travellers prioritising location and ease of access over championship-level challenge, and anyone planning a Rome city break who still wants to fit in a few rounds.

Please note: the golf club is closed on Tuesdays.

Golf Courses at Sheraton Golf Parco De’ Medici Hotel & Resort

Blue Course

The Blue Course is the most challenging of the three loops at the resort, and at 3,247 yards, is also the longest. There are a number of lakes that certainly beautify the landscape, but also provide dangerous obstacles. Walking up the closing fairway, you may notice the remains of an ancient Roman settlement.

Tees
White 3,361 metres
Yellow 3,225 metres
Black 2,991 metres
Red 2,838 metres

White Course

The White Course - 3,057 yards - also boasts an impressive historical anecdote; the layout covers land that was the favoured hunting ground of Pope Leo X in the 15th century. As for the course today, the expanses of water that infringe upon many holes can seriously upset the scorecard.

Tees
White 3,056 metres
Yellow 2,877 metres
Black 2,718 metres
Red 2,569 metres

Red Course

The Red Course is the shortest at Parco de' Medici, measuring a modest 2,805 yards, but it is perhaps the most interesting of the resort's three loops. As with the Blue and White courses, Italian design team consulted American architectural legend Peter Fazio, and have created a great little course that will challenge golfers to use every club in the bag.

Tees
Yellow 2,689 metres
Red 2,414 metres
Blue 2,342 metres
Green 2,137 metres

Accommodation at Sheraton Golf Parco De’ Medici Hotel & Resort

With 782 rooms and suites, Sheraton Golf Parco de' Medici is a sizeable four-star resort built to handle everything from quick stopovers to full-on society trips. Décor is clean and modern in soft pastel tones, with the essentials you'd expect: air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, in-room safe and spacious bathrooms with robes and slippers. If you can, it's worth upgrading for a room with a patio overlooking the course, it's a nicer wake-up view and tends to feel a touch quieter than the main building.

Facilities are solid for downtime between rounds. There's an outdoor pool for warmer months, plus a gym and sauna in the leisure area and a tennis court if your group fancies a change of pace. It's a proper resort setup, built to keep you on site if you want to relax after a day exploring Rome or between morning and afternoon rounds.

Food-wise, you've got two easy on-site options: Savoia Restaurant for a more polished, hotel-style dinner with a gourmet menu, and the Club House for relaxed meals with a mix of international and regional Italian dishes. Both are solid choices, though if you're heading into Rome for the evening, Uno e Bino near the San Lorenzo University area is a lively shout for traditional Italian recipes in the student quarter.

The big win is still location: close to the airport for painless arrival and departure days and close enough to Rome for sightseeing without paying city-centre prices. You're eight miles from central Rome, so day trips are straightforward, but you're far enough out to avoid the noise and expense of staying in the historic centre. The resort's position between the golf courses and the city gives you flexibility to structure your trip however you like: golf-heavy, sightseeing-heavy, or an even split of both.

For golfers, the setup works well. You can walk to the first tee, play 18 or 27 holes depending on your schedule, and be back at the hotel or on your way into Rome within minutes. The scale of the resort means it handles groups comfortably, and the range of room types and dining options makes it suitable for couples, societies and mixed-ability groups who want a base that covers all the basics without fuss. Needless to say, if you're looking to combine serious golf with a proper Italian city break, this is one of the most convenient options in the country.

I would recommend this resort to anybody the staff for wonderful the premises are just starting to look a little bit tired and the restaurant is quite minimalistic in what they can offer for you but other than that everything was great. I’d like to thank the Restaurant staff and staff the food And service was excellent what they did offer.

Excellent room and great staff. Pool was not open however

Hotel was really good although to far from where we were playing golf at Marco Simone. Cab costs were £80 each way. Facilities were ok bar very small but well stocked and restaurant menu what you would expect from a Sheraton hotel. The Staff however are excellent and nothing is to much trouble they are 10 out of 10

Initially placed in Building 2 which is not adjacent to the Golf Club/Course. Requested a move to Building 1 which was agreed after 1 nights stay & some negotiating. Advertised Shuttle Bus service to City Centre no longer available. Limited menu. Hotel very much geared towards a Conference Centre/stay for Corporate Companies. Visits to the most beautiful City of Rome made this a holiday to remember for the right reasons, perhaps our mistake was trying to combine golf and a City break, or perhaps just our choice of Hotel.

Poor

The greens are in terrible condition: no meet and greet, no starter. The facilities don't appear to have been decorated since the 1970s. The food was average. Really disappointing overall. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Lovely golf course...greens were superb. Some tee boxes could do with maintenance but all in all a great course

The people at the Golf Club were very endearing and helpful. I would fairly recommend this just a short trip from the airport.

All really good, challenging course. Lots of un-repaired pitch marks and un-raked bunkers only downside.

2 rounds here. Very good course - white course is better than blue but both tricky, not super long, and well kept. One round was extremely slow, but the other was fine.

A very pretty looking course with water ensuring some interesting holes. Fairways long, coarse grass. Greens poor with many bare patches & bunkers solid ‘gravel’, didn’t even leave footprints! Pull Trolleys €8, ancient & in poor condition. Caddy Master not interested in assisting with trolley selection or conversing with anyone other than Members. Club House provided table service to Members but as Hotel Guests we were very much left to our own devices, not even offered a menu. We consider this to be the worst service received on any golfing trip worldwide.
