Italian Open

The Italian Open is set to return to the Royal Park I Roveri and is the 5th event in the European Tour's newly formed Rolex Series, all of which have a minimum prize purse of $7 million. Each year the tournament attracts some of the tour's best players such as 2016 Masters Champion Danny Willett who finished runner up last year. This year will be no different as a win in this event will secure players a number of all important qualifying points for the 2018 Ryder Cup.

Italy is currently riding a wave of golfing success as not only did countryman Francesco Molinari win last year's tournament but Marco Simone Golf & Country Club situated just outside Rome will become only the 3rd course in Continental Europe to host the Ryder Cup in 2022.
