Some lucky people are blessed with all the talent in the world. Vinnie Jones became a Hollywood actor after retiring from a successful football career and one of England’s greatest ever cricketers, Ian Botham, played 11 times for Scunthorpe in the Football League.
Undoubtedly the most universally enjoyed sport across the different spheres of celebrity is golf and, while there are plenty who like to take a break from their hectic lives with a round, some take it more seriously/are a little more gifted than others. Pro-Am tournaments provide a taste of which celebrity golfers can sink a putt from seven feet and who will be spending more time in the sand than David Hasselhoff. Here at the 19th hole we have found the well-renowned actors, sports stars and musicians who wouldn’t look out of place playing at Augusta.
Michael Jordan

With a handicap reported to be three, Jordan takes the game pretty seriously. Apparently he is a member of over 10 private courses and owns around 40 different sets of clubs. According to Golf Digest, Jordan moved into a mansion in 2010 which is right on the doorstep of The Bear’s Golf Club in Florida. Handy, when you fancy popping out for a round before Sunday dinner.
Andriy Shevchenko

He also owns a house in the Wentworth estate and plays the tough Wentworth course with a tidy two handicap. In September 2013, he made his professional golf debut at the Challenge Tour in his native Ukraine. Unfortunately it didn’t go quite to plan as he missed out on the cut finishing 40 shots off the lead.
Samuel L Jackson

Already high up in our estimation, the American boasted a single figure handicap of six in 2012. When he was filming for Star Wars II, he used to carry his light saber in his golf bag because he had 109 movements to learn. While he was on the tee box waiting, he used to pull out the light saber and practice – dedication to both work and golf.

Alice Cooper

Having suffered an addiction to alcohol he ditched the booze and started making birdies by saying he replaced one addiction with another. Cooper has featured in a number of Pro-Am tournaments and his handicap dropped to two at the peak of his golfing career.
