Cherry Trees
Cherry Trees was formed in 1980 by a group of parents and doctors who identified the need for a respite care service. They provide short-term respite care in a home-style environment, with high quality professional support, for children and young people who have a learning disability and/or a physical disability.
They can be accepted at any time up to their eighteenth birthday and they must live, receive treatment or be educated in Surrey.
Help a London Child
Help a London Child provides financial support to grass-root projects for London's less advantaged children. The Charity was launched in 1975 by Lord Attenborough & has raised in excess of £20,000,000. They are a grant giving charity providing practical and lasting support to thousands of youngsters aged 18 and under with the aim to directly assist and give opportunites to the Capital's children and young people.
Save the Children
Save the children is the world's largest independent organisation for children, from emergency relief to long-term development Save the Children helps children to achieve a happy, healthy and secure childhood. They have transformed children's lives by protecting children, setting up medical centres, reuniting families and rebuilding schools. Save the Children currently works in over 20 countries experiencing or recovering from emergency situations such as armed conflict and natural disasters. They operate long-term initiatives in these areas, sometimes for decades, to improve outcomes for children.
Sparks
Founded and supported by top personalities in sports and entertainment, Sparks fundraising activities range from neighbourhood coffee mornings, school fun runs and local 5-a-side soccer cups to star-studded gala balls, golf days, clay shooting, polo tournaments and fashion shows. Childhood cancers, meningitis, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, brain damage and the complications surrounding premature birth are just a few of the research areas to benefit from Sparks funding.
