9 - 15 August, 2010, Whistling Straits, Kohler, Wisconsin.
Following Y. E. Yang’s superb victory at Hazeltine Country Club all eyes are now drawn towards the fantastic Whistling Straits in Wisconsin. Having previously played host to Vijay Singh’s victory in 2004, it is revered as one of the best golf courses in America with its great location on the banks of Lake Michigan. With the likes of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson already touted as some of the favourites for the 2010 title, this looks set to be one of the best championships of 2010.
With three of the Major championships in 2010 being played over links style courses (Pebble Beach – US Open, St. Andrews – The Open & Whistling Straits – USPGA), golfers wanting to challenge for these tournaments will need to be masters of playing in the wind and keeping the ball on the fairway.
