Visiting golfers at Ballykisteen must negotiate water at the majority of the holes. While it is not particularly long, it is certainly enjoyable; the condition of the course is always excellent, and the surrounding scenery is beautiful.
The highlight is certainly the closing stretch, where players have to tackle an island green at the 17th, and a long carry over water at the finishing hole.
