Set within the Churchtown Estate, Beaufort Golf Club is classic Kerry parkland, with mature trees, open corridors and a handsome Georgian manor house (dating back to 1740) keeping watch nearby. It feels like proper estate golf, the kind of place where you notice the setting on the first tee and you're still talking about it over a pint afterwards.
The course uses the land well. You'll be shaping tee shots around doglegs, picking smart lines to avoid trouble and judging approaches where water and tree lines ask an awkward question at exactly the wrong moment. The greens follow the natural contours too, so pace and borrow matter, especially if you leave yourself the wrong side of the flag.
Off the course, the experience matches the scenery. The grounds are kept to a high standard, the clubhouse is friendly and it's an easy addition if you're based around Killarney or building a wider Kerry run of golf. If you fancy a round that's scenic, strategic and a bit different from the headline-grabbing coastal tests, Beaufort is well worth pencilling in. If you're planning a Killarney base, we can build Beaufort into a simple 2 or 3-night break with tee times sorted.
Who is this for?
Golfers who like tree-lined parkland and a course that rewards sensible placement as much as length, with Killarney and the Ring of Kerry close by.
Who is it best for?
Mid to low handicappers and societies who enjoy shaping shots and reading sloping greens, especially if you're mixing one parkland day into a Kerry itinerary of bigger coastal names like Ballybunion and Waterville, plus Tralee.

The famous MacGillycuddy Reeks dominate the entire landscape, providing a spectacular backdrop for this enjoyable but challenging parkland course. All visitors to Beaufort will be struck by the tranquil atmosphere and exquisite beauty of both the golf course and its surroundings.
