CONSTANCE BELLE MARE PLAGE

The Constance Belle Mare Plage Resort was much improved since our first trip some 10 years ago. The junior suites were lovely; very spacious and beautifully decorated. The food in the hotel was very good but not quite as good as other top class resorts like the Jebel Ali Resort in Dubai.

The two golf courses were great. We preferred the Links Course to the Championship course because we thought it was much prettier and was a bit more fun to play. The Championship Course was undergoing a fair bit of work as it is gearing up towards a Senior Tour Event in November. My husband and I play off 12 and 16 and thought the Links was more suited to our standard...perhaps this is the real reason we preferred it! During our golf holiday we ended up playing four rounds on the Links Course and just the one on the Championship Course.

This resort offers the total package as far as an island golf break goes. From the lovely accommodation to the championship golf and ample facilities, Belle Mare Plage ticks all the boxes. The neighbouring beach is something to savour as well.

As usual our dealings with Your Golf Travel were quick and easy and the value for money was great as well. We would like to book a golf tour of Scotland that includes the Old Course at St Andrews so if you can get your thinking caps on that would be great!

Thank you so much for all the hard work that went into organising our Sliver Wedding anniversary holiday in Mauritius. We both enjoyed it so much and are looking forward to our Pearl Anniversary so that we have an excuse to go back!

We stayed at the Belle Mare Plage Resort where we had booked a junior suite. Our room was extremely comfortable and we loved the spacious natural feeling we got when all the doors and windows were open. We only needed the air conditioning on at night time thanks to this. The resort was a true paradise and the staff all the way through the ranks were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was fantastic as were the bars that were dotted around the resort. We had our anniversary dinner at La Citronelle which was pricey but very nice.

Both of the golf courses were lovely. The Links course offers stunning views of the surrounding scenery and the Legend course was more picturesque as a course. We lost quite a few balls in the water on the legends course so make sure to pack plenty as they are pricey in the pro shop.

All in all Belle Mare Plage is a great place for a luxurious golf holiday abroad and we would certainly go back in the future.

Our golf holiday at Belle Mare Plage was out of this world and it was almost painful to have to leave what was the best golf resort I have been to in many a year.

The Legends Course was tight from the tee and in excellent condition; a joy to play. The caddies were great at pointing out exactly where to aim and how to read the putts. Within three or four holes they had worked out our yardages and could pick our clubs for us! They were also less than half the cost of the golf buggies.

The Links Course was more open and the ball rolled more and we thought it was a more enjoyable course to play. There were no caddies on this course as buggies were obligatory which was a shame. There was a massive 1,500 meter difference between the men’s and ladies tees which made competing against my wife interesting! The contrast between the two courses meant every round was a pleasure. Going on golf breaks and playing the same golf courses over and over can get stale so we were grateful for the variety.

The service from the staff on the resort is top class. Food was delicious and served promptly with a smile and our golf clubs were well taken care of and ready and waiting for us on the range and the tees whenever we needed them. The food and drink are expensive but that is true of any top class golf resort.

The golf holiday was a real success and I would give it a 9/10. The same goes for Your Golf Travel and I will definitely be recommending you to friends and other golfers.
