Inaugurated in 1959, the course was originally designed by the architectural partnership of Cotton and Harris, and the international reputation of Bologna was safeguarded by the amendments completed by Peter Alliss in 2000.
The 6,542 yard layout has hosted a number of prestigious events, as well as the Italian Amateur Championship, and provides a good test for visiting golfers of all abilities. The easy access to the city makes Bologna Golf Club a firm favourite, especially with those enjoying a golf holiday based in the delightful medieval city.
