Since being modernised a few years ago, this course has developed a reputation for being difficult to score well on, mostly because of the sting in its picturesque tail.

The 6,640 yards, par-72 course at Bussy-Guermantes Golf Club is located in a pleasant parkland setting opposite the historic castle of Guermantes, and has quickly reached maturity since opening in 2001. It is characterised by very fast greens, deep bunkers and springy, well-conditioned fairways.
The layout features lots of water too, with greens that are difficult to hit but true, so those players handy with a wedge are likely to prosper here.
Clubbing yourself accurately is a challenge because of the raised greens, but the design is not so penal that a wide range of players cannot enjoy a game here. The "sting in the tail" is what the members call their own Amen Corner - the 16th, a par 4 surrounded by large areas of water, the 17th, a long par-3 again with lots of water to avoid, and the 18th which is a par-5 dogleg around a lake. They are all very scenic holes but technically challenging, especially if the wind is blowing, and could ruin your score unless you negotiate them with great care.
The practice facilities are comprehensive, with a driving range, putting green and pitching green.
