0800 043 6644San Vigilio Golf is a course with 27 championship hole which are separated into three paths: Benaco, Solferino and San Martino. There is also an executive 9-hole course which is specifically designed for beginners and as a test of the more experienced player’s short game.
The longest 18-hole pairing can stretch to over 7,400 yards from the championship tees and it hosted the Italian Open in 2020! All of the three loops of nine are heavily influenced by water hazards and the greens are well protected by strategically placed bunkers. Something also to be made aware of is the thick rough which lines the fairways – so sensible decision making from the tee is a must to score well on this Italian beauty.
The golf complex also includes a large driving range, complete with 11 covered and 15 uncovered bays, and a short game practice area.

The Garda Hotel provides 89 elegantly decorated guestrooms, a number of which are able to brag grand fireplaces. All are uniquely designed with different colour schemes and luxurious fabrics which help to make each stay exceptional.
There are four standards of rooms to choose from: the Comfort, Superior, Junior Suite or Suite. All are well equipped with independent air conditioning, flat screen TV with Sky, direct dial telephone, internet connection, electronic safe, minibar and tea & coffee making facilities.
Dining at the resort comes in the form of the San Viglio Restaurant. Open daily from 12.00 – 22.00 this traditional Italian eatery offers dishes with authentic flavours made from regional produce of Lake Garda. The dining room itself provides refined furnishings and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
San Vigilio SPA encompasses an area of 1,500 square metres, boasting a number of facilities and treatment areas including: sauna, steam room, salt grotto, vitarium, ice cascade, Kneipp, Jacuzzi, steam bath and heated water beds.

This is a wonderful resort, with plenty of facilities & choice for both golf & other activities. When we arrived check in was efficient, and we were assisted with our luggage. A few of the staff were friendly, but the majority were dour, some specifically unfriendly, and in one case particularly rude.. They don’t seem to get it that the whole experience is about being treated with kindness. Staff in restaurant were particularly bad in this regard. Breakfast was good. We did not eat evening meals at the hotel. Check out was also efficient, but we were not offered any porter assistance with our luggage & golf clubs. I was told “ you will find a trolley in the Hall of the car park “ I eventually located a trolley on the 2nd floor, and had to bring 2 Golf bags, and all other luggage down to the car myself! ( we are both retired, so that was very poor.

Great course and great staff - one negative experience though from local golfers (claimed they were members) that broke all rules of conduct on a golf course and were both rude and arrogant
