The Scottish golfing boom at the turn of the 19^th century spawned Crieff's course, which was mapped out by the great Old Tom Morris. A slice of land that was originally a public park was transformed into a nine-hole layout in 1891, and Crieff has developed smoothly since those fledgling steps.

The club's jewel is now the 18-hole championship Ferntower Course, which has been selected by the tournament authorities to host prestigious events such as the Scottish Boys and Youth Strokeplay Championships.
