Elfordleigh Golf Course
Elfordleigh was always a good test of golf but following a recent extensive refurbishment the course has now matured into a genuine parkland gem which will offer an exciting test of golf to players of all shapes and sizes. The tee boxes have been tastefully demarcated with new carved stonework, while much of the bunkering has been reshaped. The greatest change can be seen however around the turn, where the treacherous lakes that infringe upon the 11th and 12th holes have been extended to pose an even greater threat.
This 5,690 yard parkland course is delightfully scenic, and will undoubtedly be enjoyed by all those who make the journey South-West for a golf break at Elfordleigh. Thanks to tireless work and significant investment, winter conditions at Elfordleigh continue to improve meaning golfers choosing to visit Elfordleigh are in for a real treat no matter the time of the year.
Elfordleigh is a charming retreat in the South-West, where visitors will be welcomed to the charming and peaceful country house hotel.

Elfordleigh golf course is beautiful and quite challenging - this is something we really enjoyed. Our room had a fabulous view of the course through an impressively large bay window. The staff were without exception the friendliest and most helpful you could meet anywhere and the food was surprisingly good.
We would love to play golf at Elfordleigh again sometime and we would recommend booking a golf break through Your Golf Travel.
When you consider how little we paid for the golf break to Elfordleigh Hotel, Golf & Leisure it far surpassed any of our expectations. The hotel rooms were massive and they kindly went out of their way to arrange early check ins for everyone to ensure everyone was happy before playing golf. The rooms were far better than expected and the food menu was reasonably extensive and well prepared. No-one was overly impressed with £4.20 a pint but hey, that’s how it goes sometimes. The most memorable part of our trip was the frontline staff at Elfordleigh. They absolutely went out of their way to ensure nothing was too much trouble and they deserve every recognition that our trip wouldn’t have been the same without their humour, banter and all round "nothing too much trouble attitude".
The management and night staff however, a different story, seemed to have predetermined that twenty lads from London would be trouble and treated us apprehensively all the way. When the lady on front desk Amy told the night porter taking over that I was the leader and any problem come to me, he simply replied to her, first voice raised or any trouble I’ll be calling the police and having them out! In actual contrary to their attitude the girls and boys on reception and bar actually said we were the best golf group they had ever had! How bad is that!
The course was in great condition irrespective of the weather and the layout and challenge of the course itself was great. The two best golfers in our group (scratch and 3) were very impressed with the variety and picturesque nature of some of the holes, each hole presenting a different challenge and it was an interesting course to play.
Maybe a bit too far for us but we were absolutely delighted, it matched Meyrick park in most ways and beat it in some. We have had the two cheapest holidays on offer now and have had great times at both and we are so pleased with the advice and service from YGT that we will most definitely be booking through them next year.
Booking our golf break to Elfordleigh Hotel Golf & Leisure was very easy through YGT. Arrived mid-morning and very impressed with our first sight of this large, pink building set among the golf course, stunning. We had early access to our room which was huge with large bathroom and separate shower, over- looking the course.
Played 18 holes golf each day, lovely course which will look fantastic in summer, lots of daffodils dotted about and with several ponds/lakes it’s very attractive and fairly demanding. The golf shop pro was very helpful in re-arranging our tee times to suit.
Very good continental breakfast, with cooked breakfast as an extra. Three course dinner was included with tea/coffee, all of high standard, served by a highly attentive waiter.
The bar area is a little shabby but then it is an old building with lots of character, especially the Churchill Restaurant, plus a large conservatory, all very clean.
The only downside maybe was lack of lockers for the golf bags for visitors.
The whole deal was of exceptional value, thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.
