    The venue was perfect...

Just to say a big thank you to yourgolftravel for organising our golf break last weekend at Forest Pines.

I must say when I found out that we were a group of 36 I was a little nervous. I did think it was too many but thanks to you all the work and worry was taken away from me and all I had to do was to arrive and enjoy myself!

The venue was perfect, with super golf courses, excellent service and great food. The bar tariff was not overly expensive either.

Once again many thanks for your excellent service.

Forest Pines is in great condition...

Just wanted to let you know our sunday special visit to forest pines was superb, so thank you for sorting us out a venue where we could play golf on a wet weekend when most other courses were closed! Forest Pines is in great condition, a big thank you to the green staff. Our food and accommodation was better than expected, sunday specials are great value, I would recommend this hidden gem to golf societies and couples.

    Most impressed with the venue...

We had a brilliant golf break at Forest Pines last Sunday and Monday. The weather was perfect and we were all most impressed with the venue, both the accommodation and the golf courses, but especially the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff in the pro shop and the hotel. The rooms were most comfortable and we really enjoyed all 3 golf courses which were in lovely condition. All in all a very good trip and we would certainly recommend Forest Pines to any one looking for a very good value break. Thanks for all your help in booking the trip - I will recommend your services to next year's Lady Vice Captain when it is her turn to arrange the away trip.

Perfect for a weekend golf holiday...

We have just returned from our golf trip to Forest Pines and thought we would drop a note to let you know how everything went.

The golf break was very enjoyable and all aspects of the golf resort were top class. We found the golf course to be difficult and it was perhaps a little too difficult for us! Having said that it was very picturesque and we saw lots of wildlife...just no birdies! There were starters on the tee and they were very helpful and made us feel like we were valued members; a very nice touch. The clubhouse was also very nice but was a tad on the expensive side. Like the golf pros and the starters on the tees, the staff here were great.

The hotel was very nice with welcoming staff. When we arrived in our room the cleaners were still giving it the go over but that was no big deal as we were due on the tee anyway. We played our round of golf and the room was ready when we returned. The room was great and was perfect for a weekend golf holiday. Dinner was great and was included in the Sunday Special golf break package we had bought from Your Golf Travel.

Your Golf Travel were great and made the booking process quick and easy. Our booking agent also kept in touch with us and we even got a text wishing us well just after we arrived at the golf resort.

Big thumbs up for everyone at YGT!

    Excellent from start to finish...

We booked a Sunday Special golf break at Forest Pines and thought it was excellent from start to finish. The resort is so easy to access as it’s just off the M180 and yet on the course you can barely hear the traffic.

The golf course is brilliant and although it’s very young it has a mature feel to it. You’d better hit the ball straight to score well though as the fairways are lined by towering pine trees. They’re not extremely penal as you will always find your ball but they will certainly hinder your progress to the greens, which by the way are outstanding.

The hotel is really nice as well. Not as grandiose as other older establishments but a perfectly nice place to stay for a weekend golf holiday. The food and drink are excellent and well priced and the people who work there are really professional and friendly. The service is exceptional. I would 100% recommend the venue and will be back in the future for more golf breaks.

I would also recommend Your Golf Travel’s services to other golfers who book weekend golf breaks. I have yet to book a more extensive golf holiday with you but I’m sure that day will come soon!

    Excellent value for money...

Many thanks for all your help in making our recent golf break to Forest Pines an extremely enjoyable stay. Forest Pines offers a truly outstanding 27 hole layout with a hotel and facilities to match. All of this though is eclipsed by the exceptionally friendly staff and professional service we received throughout our golf break.

Three loops of nine holes are all in immaculate condition with towering pine trees lining the fairways and fast, undulating greens make the course quite a challenge. The three nine hole loops are great when you’re on a golf break as you get a good balance of familiarity and variety.

The atmosphere, welcome and service in the clubhouse was perhaps the best I have ever received. The drinks are well priced and the food is great.

The hotel was excellent value for money and the staff were outstanding. There are three restaurants and in each one the food is superb. The guestrooms were large, modern and very clean.

I would give Forest Pines 8/10. I would have scored this much higher but for the driving range which was a bit ropey. You can’t hit more than an eight iron so while you can get the muscles warmed up you can’t really fully prepare your game for the imminent round of golf. This is a shame because the course is easily on a par with the Forest of Arden and Stapleford Park which are two of my favourites.

Your Golf Travel has been exceptional throughout the entire process even until the moment we got home. We really appreciated the text/emails on arrival and departure wishing us a good time. I always recommend YGT to fellow golfers and will continue to do so. You simply can’t be beaten on price and service so why go anywhere else for a golf break?

    Fantastic in every way...

Our golf break to Forest Pines was difficult to fault...in fact impossible!

All the arrangements were second to none and we were impressed by Your Golf Travel from the get go.

Forest Pines was also fantastic in every way. The food was delicious and dinner was included in the golf break package which was excellent value for money. Prices for drinks were fair and no higher than in any other hotel of this kind and along with the fantastic food and a great atmosphere, the guestrooms were excellent. Very spacious, clean, modern and comfortable.

The golf course was in excellent condition. We played all three nine hole loops and despite some questionable weather we really enjoyed the golf from start to finish. As far as golf breaks go the set up at Forest Pines is ideal as you can chop and change the order of the holes meaning the golf never gets stale. Our second round was very slow and without even raising the issue with anyone the Director of Golf was waiting for us to offer his apologies and present us with a voucher for a complimentary round of golf...impressive customer service to say the least!

I would not hesitate to use Your Golf Travel in the future and am looking forward to returning to Forest Pines.

    Nothing short of stunning...

My golfing buddies and I would like to thank you for arranging our recent trip to Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort. Everything was exactly as you said it would be which is, in my opinion, great testimony to Your Golf Travel.

The hotel was very nice with welcoming and friendly staff, the rooms were well appointed and sparkling clean.

As for the course, it was nothing short of stunning. With the two round offer we were able to play all 27 holes on the Pines, the Forest, and the Beeches courses, which almost made it feel like we had played at two separate venues. The course was pretty challenging for our group as we fall into the useless category, but never mind, it was certainly great fun trying to conquer it!

In summary, nice hotel, great course, and all arranged in minutes. Of course I took all the glory for arranging such a good trip when really it was you who did all the work, so thanks a lot for that! Please be assured that when our next trip is ready to be arranged, I will be certainly contacting YGT.

Again many thanks for your efforts.

    A real challenge...

We really enjoyed our golf break at Forest Pines Hotel & Golf Resort. The course had a good layout and it's in very good condition; a real challenge. The tee bookings were well managed but Sunday's round was still a bit slow. Monday, as expected, was much quicker and we even played an extra 9 holes for £10 pp.

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating and the rooms were of a good quality.

Your Golf Travel's service was very smooth, helpful and efficient and I would definitely recommend them.

    The golf course is superb...

Just back from Forest Pines and we had a fantastic golf break...what great value!

The golf course is superb (albeit greens a little disappointing due to recent spiking) and the hotel is excellent with good food and fantastic value when booked as package with YGT. The resort was very easy indeed to find and I would give it 9 out of 10 overall.

Finally I would like to thank Your Golf Travel for a speedy and informative booking process and will be booking another overnighter for the end of September.

One of the best golf resorts I've Been to...

The trip was excellent. Forest Pines was one of the best golf resorts I've been to, the food was of a good standard and the golf course was a joy to play...even though sometimes my golf didn't match the quality of it! We all agreed we're going to try and do another in golf break again soon and I'm sure I'll be in touch with YGT again.

    An exceptionally beautiful course...

Forest Pines is an exceptionally beautiful course in autumn. Although there was a slight mist on both days during our golf break, this did not detract from the pleasure of playing the courses.

Staff and food in the clubhouse were excellent. The Pro Shop was well stocked and booking in process is very smooth. Hotel rooms were excellent.

We will definitely visit again and would recommend the resort to friends (8/10). YGT were also very helpful and provided great service once again.

The best resort overall we have visited so far...

Golf Course – Very good condition, greens all very nice, lots of trees making many fairways tight, a difficult but great course.

Clubhouse/19th hole – About £4 per pint and food expensive too but a great balcony overlooking the course to enjoy a few drinks on.

Hotel – The hotel was very good, the rooms were clean and modern, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

Location – Very easy to find and park.

Overall verdict - I would rate Forest Pines at 9/10, the best resort overall we have visited so far.

Would I recommend YGT to a friend? Yes!

    We would return without hesitation...

Let me start by saying a big thank you for arranging our trip to the Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort. It has been a pleasure to deal with your golf travel.

We were very surprised on how easy and quick we were able to arrive at the hotel, easy parking both at the hotel and the Golf club. The hotel is well signposted too and just of Junction 4 of the M180.

The course consists of 3 9hole courses: Forest (3291yds), Pines (3551yds) and Beeches (3102yds) and although the courses run parallel, they are entirely separated by stands of trees. The tee boxes and fairways were well cut and well looked after, the greens are excellent and undulating with many featuring at least two tiers.

We purchased a Strokesaver Course guide and it was invaluable in negotiating the course so I’d recommend doing the same for other first timers. The water features are intimidating but negotiable, bunkers and lateral water ditches are well marked, but as I found to my cost the deep pot bunkers are nasty!!

The hotel was what you would expect from a 5star establishment with reception courteous and friendly, superb food and an excellent overall presentation. Prices are what you should expected from this standard of hotel; expensive but not overly so.

The four of us were all agreed we would return without hesitation.

Overall we were very happy with our experience...

The Hotel staff at Forest Pines are exceptional and did all they could to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfasts are very good and the dinners are tasty. Beer was reasonably priced too about about £3.75 per pint.

As for the golf courses, we found the Forest and Pines courses a bit similar in the challenges they set. You had to be fairly long and accurate off the tees and were still left with long irons in for the majority of holes. I’d recommend perhaps playing from more forward tees to maximise enjoyment.

The Beeches course offered more in the way of variety and although there were two very long par 4s, some of the holes were shorter and doglegged. We thought this was the most enjoyable of the three courses.

Overall we were very happy with our experience.

Our golf break to Forest Pines was brilliant. Members of staff are all extremely friendly and made our stay comfortable to say the least. The menu in the restaurant seemed to be a bit limited but the food was excellent; couldn’t fault it at all.

The golf courses were all beautiful (there are 3 nine hole loops) and the greens were very well kept indeed.

We found the hotel easily so no problems there and the rooms were large and very comfortable.

Overall I would book with your recommendations again and would certainly go back to Forest Pines in the future.

    Everything was excellent...

We had a great three days at Forest Pines, with good golf and a nice hotel. The bar prices were a bit over the top but apart from this everything was excellent.

    In great condition...

We had a great weekend at Forest Pines so many thanks for all your help.

The 3 golf courses were all in great condition and benefitted from amazing drainage.

The hotel is lovely too with friendly staff, nice guestrooms and good food.

We would really recommend the resort to others and will hopefully go there again ourselves.

    What a great venue...

What a great venue Forest Pines Hotel & Golf Resort is. Easy access from M180 and good signposting made our journey there a piece of cake. The Hotel has quality in every department. Food, rooms, staff...all very good.

The golf course was in excellent condition and was enjoyed by all different handicap players in our group (from 5 – 24). The 19th hole was welcoming and the beers were sold at reasonable prices.

The Overall verdict from all of the group was 10/10.

    Fairways like carpets...

We had a really good break at Forest Pines and as usual, you guys at YGT didn’t let us down with your recommendation!

All 3 loops of 9 holes were of equally great condition and very well kept with fairways like carpets, even during the spell of hot weather of late. All of the greens run very true and smooth as well.

Forest Pines is certainly a good challenge and although you do need to be straight, there are certainly a few birdie chances; maybe even an eagles if you are ok with a fairway wood!

We all found the clubhouse very welcoming and spent quite a lot of time sitting on the balcony watching other golfers come down the stretch with a cold beer on the go, the prices for which were slightly high but not extortionate.

Food in the restaurant was of great quality – dined once in restaurant – and on our second night
we dined in the clubhouse area as this was great value for money.

All of the guestrooms were of good standard too and we used all the leisure areas as well to chill and unwind which was a bonus.

All members of staff were friendly and you could quickly build a good rapport with them which is important in such a setting.

I’ve already recommended Forest Pines to others and would give it a 9/10 overall...very
much one we would go back to.

Hope this all reads ok and thanks again,we will be doing more trips and will certainly be in contact with Your Golf Travel again.

Golf courses were in good condition...

My wife and I enjoyed the hotel at Forest Pines. Great breakfasts!

The three nine hole golf courses were in good condition and were really fun to play, although they can get a bit tight at times!

Thanks for everything Your Golf Travel; you even managed to arrange good weather!

    Suitable for all levels...

Have recently returned from a golf break at Forest Pines so thought I’d get in touch.

The course was in excellent condition with true greens which were running at a decent speed. The golf at Forest Pines is suitable for all levels. Although all three courses are heavily tree lined, you rarely seem to be hunting for golf balls!

Staff were friendly and accommodating at the hotel and the food also very good.

All in all, this is a venue I would certainly recommend for visiting parties!

A superb hotel with five star facilities...

We had a fantastic time at Forest Pines. The 3 9 hole courses were all superb so thank you so much for your high recommendation...did you order the great weather for us as well!?

I can’t praise YGT enough for the excellent service and the golf break was great value for money too. Forest Pines has a superb hotel with five star facilities including the spa and the pool. The restaurants were nice with great food and friendly service too...the staff could not have been more helpful.

We can’t recommend this venue enough and shall definitely be going again. The trip scored a definite 10 out of 10 in all aspects, not only the golf course and hotel but great value for money and service from YGT.
