Following a £10 million development project, Formby Hall has recently added a fantastic 4* hotel and resort to its already impressive golf complex. Despite only opening in 1996, Formby Hall has already staged PGA Challenge Tour events, and it's now a regular stop on the PGA Europro Tour with the next event being staged on 4 August, 2010. There are also plans to establish an amateur golf centre with state-of-the-art practice facilities. The grandiose colonial style clubhouse sits proudly above the course, which was the result of much work to convert the marshland that existed previously.
Formby Hall prides itself in its superb putting surfaces, and the parkland resort style provides good variety alongside the numerous links courses dotted along the coastline.
