I had a really good time, and the propospective father in law was so impressed with the place that he will book a family trip there later in the summer! Cheers,

Bernard Hunt Course
The Bernard Hunt course was named after Foxhills' most famous professional, who won no less than 30 titles on the PGA European Tour and played in 10 Ryder Cup matches. The gently undulating fairways are banked by towering pine trees, which are particularly penal for those straying off-line. Long hitters have a distinct advantage around the Bernard Hunt, as the layout measures 6,883 yards, including exicting par-4s like the 10th and 18th, which are comfortably in excess of 400 yards and demand two powerful strikes.
The 6,742 yard Longcross Course is an excellent example of tree-lined Surrey golf, with many of the fine holes being carved through stunning avenues and funnels of Scots Pine, beech, and silver birch. The conditioning rivals the Bernard Hunt, resulting in some of the region's most luscious fairways and greens, which are often reminiscent of Sunningdale's glorious Old Course. Good scoring will most likely require long and accurate tee shots, with cleverly placed fairway bunkers adding to the ever-present menace of the characteristic pines.
The nine-hole Manor Course is not your average pitch-and-putt, having hosted the prestigious PGA Junior Championships. Paul Casey cut his golfing teeth on the par-27 layout, which is perfect for sharpening the short game.
Foxhills is also home to a comprehensive practice facility, including a 1,000 sq. foot artificial putting green and an excellent driving range.
The Bernard Hunt Course has one of the most fearsome closing holes in the country, where you need to hit a huge drive to find the narrow fairway and give yourself a chance to attack the double green.
The 70-bedroom hotel at Foxhills has been recognised as offering outstanding luxury accommodation, set amidst the 400 acres of glorious Surrey countryside.
Foxhills boasts a wide range of room types, all of which are individually decorated and furnished to the highest level, ensuring that the hotel can cater to all requirements. Relaxation is the ultimate target for Foxhills guests, a fact that is appreciated by the team of attentive and helpful staff, while the welcoming atmosphere guarantees that visitors will truly unwind during their golf break.
Foxhills' superb facilities include a 14-metre indoor swimming pool, a 20-metre outdoor pool housed in the walled gardens, a tremendous gym, squash, tennis, croquet, an adventure playground and scheduled aerobic classes. For relaxation, there is a sauna, steam room, solarium, and three treatment rooms and a hairdressing salon for the best in health and beauty.
The elegant Manor Restaurant is housed in the Music Room, where the good and the great have been wined and dined since 1841.
The Summerhouse Brasserie overlooks the outdoor pool and walled gardens and is a relaxed but excellent dining room.
Foxhills can also accommodate private diners, while there is also a crèche on-site.

Foxhills is an ideal destination for a UK golf break. Just off the M3 and the M25 is it easy to get to from anywhere around London and once you’re there you would never guess you are so close to the city. The two golf courses are stunning and are both unique in character. Both the fairways and the greens were in excellent condition which just adds to the quality of the experience. The main challenge is hitting it straight from the tee as tree-lined fairways will force you to come out sideways if you are wayward. Club selection is also important as the undulation changes subtly add to or decrease the distance of approach shots. Each hole has a feeling of seclusion form the rest of the course and so the atmosphere is great. You truly feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere (in a good way!).
The breakfast and lunch menus were extensive which can often be a sign or poor quality food but this was not the case at Foxhills. All of the food was delicious and served with a smile. It wasn’t the cheapest but was entirely commensurate with the surroundings and the quality of what was on offer.
The hotel rooms were huge and very comfortable indeed with French doors leading to a balcony that overlooked the Manor Course. A large shower and bath made this the perfect place for post-round relaxation and the bed was the biggest thing I've ever slept in! Tucked away from everyday life, the Foxhills resort really is a haven, you truly feel like you are away on a golf holiday!
5 stars in my opinion - the golf service staff helped organise my proposal on the 18th green, they bent over backwards to ensure it went smoothly by placing the ring in the 18th cup while my girlfriend and I approached. She said yes and the clubhouse went up in a roar, a real testament to the spirit of the place. The whole complex is beautiful, well laid out and the atmosphere is relaxed - my favourite place to play golf in the UK.
As Foxhills is a special place for my girlfriend and I; the proposal just had to be there! Initially, due to another wedding, there was no accommodation available but Your Golf Travel never gave up and somehow managed to wangle a room for us! I'm not sure how you did it but I'm so grateful to you for your efforts; you helped make the weekend one of the best of my life so far! Your personal service is a credit to your company and we'll continue to book our golf holidays, golf tours and golf breaks with YGT.
We played on both the Bernard Hunt and Longcross courses and both were in great condition. Enjoyed the Longcross more than the Bernard Hunt Course as most of us ladies found that on a couple of the holes the fairways stopped way short of the greens and the greens were on an uphill slope. Unless one is a very long hitter you got penalised even if you hit a good second shot. The greens were lovely and true. Hence not suitable for high handicappers or even mid handicappers....take the fun out of playing the course.
Service and food were excellent in the clubhouse. Drinks are a bit pricey. The staff were very obliging and polite. The Manor Hotel Restaurant thought we would try dinner here. It was not a good idea!! The menu was limited in choice and very 'flowery' in 'its description....just so unnecessary. Of course it was not worth the price we paid for the meals and drinks!!! More like we were paying for the ambience of the venue which was nothing great. Foodwise it would be better to dine at Restaurant 19.
Very satisfied with the room....very spacious and comfortable. Large clean bathroom with bath and showers.
Found the place quite easily and parking was good too.
Response and service of Yourgolftravel was very prompt and efficient.
