Sheltered by the Chartreuse and Vercors mountains, the golf course at Charmeil is blessed with an unrivalled situation. The course winds its way through mature pine woodland, interspersed with lovely alpine lakes, and is a challenging par-73 layout from the championship tees.
Architect Jeremy Penn was fortunate to be presented with such a terrific canvas for his project, but he took full advantage by creating an outstanding 6,715 yards test that is used for the LPGA Tour Qualifying School. Charmeil has become a popular golf holiday destination, thanks to its excellent championship layout and the unforgettable landscape around Grenoble.
