Established in 1892, Harrogate is a prestigious golfing institution that is among the best in the North Yorkshire area. The course is a real gem, and is best known for the ferocity of its closing holes; five of the final six holes are par 4s that measure over 400 yards.

The layout stretches to 6,250 yards, and its design was completed with consultancy from Major Charles Mackenzie. The subtle and varied construction places an emphasis on creativity and guile, so the more artful golfer is sure to be at home.
Mature woodland demarcates the well maintained fairways, and also adds considerable beauty to the natural landscape. Harrogate is a firm favourite with North Yorkshire's golfers, and comes highly recommended as part of a York Golf Tour.
