Islantilla Golf Resort
The excellent layout is a regular on the Challenge Tour, but the highlight for Islantilla came in 1995 when it was chosen to welcome the PGA European Tour's best for the Turespana Masters, won by Alex Cejka. This rise to prominence was underlined in the year 2000, when the respected publication, Golf Digest, included Islantilla in its list of Europe's top 100.
The course is divided into three distinct nine-hole loops, so the resultant combinations provide welcome variety. Known as the Yellow, Green and Blue courses, all three afford golfers amazing sea views, set against the backdrop of the beautiful pine forest that adorns the cliff-top landscape. This spectacular location makes for a truly memorable golf experience, but one that will also challenge even the best players.
Islantilla's practice facility and academy is one of the most comprehensive in the Huelva province, and is the perfect place to seek some technical advice from the PGA professionals.
Hotel Information
The excellent four star hotel at Islantilla Golf Resort occupies an enviable position in the centre of the golf course, while it is also within 800 metres of the beach. The hotel itself is purpose-built to accommodate golfers, but will provide luxury hospitality for all those fortunate enough to visit.
There are 204 rooms and suites on offer, all of which are extremely spacious and have a balcony or terrace. The contemporary decoration and furnishings are of a high quality, while the guest rooms are equipped with conveniences such as internet connection, telephone, hairdryer, safe deposit box, television, air-conditioning and mini-bar.
With outstanding facilities, including a renowned sailing school and private beach club, and easy access to the tremendous course, Islantilla is a great choice for your next golf holiday in Spain.
The expansive outdoor swimming pool is ably supported by the Beauty Farm, where hotel guests can enjoy the covered jacuzzi, solarium, Turkish baths and gym. For some well-earned pampering, there is a wide range of treatments on offer, including massages, facials, pedicures, reflexology, hair removal and makeovers. The highlight of Islantilla however is its private Beach Club; accessed from the hotel by the complimentary mini-train, it has a sweet-water swimming pool, terrace, cafeteria, restaurant, water sports and hammock, but more importantly it has acres of sublime golden sand.
The hotel has its own a la carte restaurant, and a magnificent terrace bar and grill.
Islantilla even has its own English style pub.

Just a note to say we thoroughly enjoyed our golf break in Spain and will have no hesitation in using Your Golf Travel again as the service and value for money was excellent. We stayed at the Islantilla Golf Hotel in Costa De La Luz. The hotel was really peaceful and quite as were the golf courses, which was a bonus. It was like we had our own private golf course at times!
The 27 holes at Islantilla were all spectacular and it’s obvious as to why they have hosted professional events as the quality of the conditioning more than matched the quality of the design. We even got some golf lessons from the professionals at the club which were fun and very informative.
Like the staff at the golf course, the staff in the hotel were friendly and very helpful indeed. It would be interesting to see if they could maintain those levels of service when the hotel is at full swing.
