Closest to the West Sands, The Jubilee is arguably the toughest test in St Andrews, with numerous challenging driving holes to negotiate. Its position at the point of the estuary makes The Jubilee the most exposed to the elements, most notably so on the tee at the par-3 ninth, facing a long iron into a rock-hard green. The closing stretch features a succession of difficult par-fours, where holding together a score is as tough as it gets.

Golf tour visitors to St Andrews will begin tackling The Jubilee adjacent to The New Course's first tee, and will also benefit from the splendid New Clubhouse, but the beauty of The Jubilee is that its character is so different to its neighbours. The narrow fairways run closest to the shoreline, and when the wind blows, are part of a stern test.
