Kempinski Hotel The Dome Belek

Very Good See all 10 reviews

Kempinski Hotel The Dome is one of the classiest stays in Belek, and that's saying something in a resort packed with four and five-star options. If you're the sort of golfer who wants the hotel to feel like part of the trip, not just a bed between rounds, this place delivers. You get the polished service you'd expect at this level, plus the kind of facilities that make a difference when you've got 36 holes in your legs.

It sits in a quieter, more refined pocket of Belek, so you're close to the championship courses without feeling like you're on the busiest strip. For groups, couples and golf societies, it's a strong base because it balances proper luxury with a relaxed, golfer-friendly feel.

I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for a hotel that understands the after-golf routine too. With multiple bars, a dedicated golfers' hangout and a serious spa set-up, The Dome makes it easy to play, recover and do it all again tomorrow. Add direct beach access and you've got a resort that keeps non-golfers happy as well, which is half the battle when you're organising a mixed group trip.

Who is this for?

Golf groups, societies, couples and families looking for a luxury Belek resort with a proper spa, strong dining and easy access to championship golf.

Who is it best for?

Golfers who prioritise 5-star comfort and recovery, plus groups with non-golfers who want beach time, pools and a top-tier spa while the golfers are out playing.

Accommodation at Kempinski Hotel The Dome Belek

The Dome's design leans into Seljuk-era influence, and you can see it in the arches, the proportions and the sense of grandeur in the public spaces. It feels more characterful than the standard big resort look, which is a nice touch when you're spending a few days on site.

Accommodation is spread across 158 rooms, 28 private villas and 43 Lagoon Suites. All come with marble bathrooms and the usual high-end essentials including air-conditioning, wooden floors, flat-screen TVs and a private balcony or terrace. If you're travelling as a fourball or a larger group, the villas and Lagoon Suites are worth a look for the extra space and privacy, especially if you want somewhere to unwind without everyone ending up in the lobby.

Facility-wise, you've got a long list done properly: outdoor pools, jacuzzis, saunas and a well-equipped gym, plus direct access to the beach. The headline, though, is the spa and thalasso therapy centre, which is one of the biggest in Turkey. Whether you're a quick steam room and go type or you like to book treatments to keep the back and shoulders behaving, it's a genuine selling point for a golf week.

Non-golf time is covered too. There are tennis courts, water sports on the beach and a kids' club that makes this a realistic option for family golf trips, not just lads' tours.

Food and drink is another strong area. There are four restaurants, with Selçuk the standout for regional Turkish flavours done with a bit of pride rather than generic buffet fare. You've also got six bars, including Putters Bar, which naturally becomes the post-round meeting point for comparing scorecards and sorting tomorrow's tee times. It's the kind of place where you can replay the day's golf over a drink without feeling like you're in a generic hotel bar.

The Dome suits golfers who want their hotel to be part of the experience, not just somewhere to sleep between rounds. The service is attentive, the facilities are genuinely luxurious, and the location gives you quick access to Belek's best courses while keeping you slightly removed from the busier parts of town.

The overall experience at the Kempinski Hotel was mixed. The gym and spa facilities were excellent, and both the pool bar and beach facilities were very good and well maintained. Sofra by the Lake was also a highlight, with a lovely atmosphere and enjoyable food. Unfortunately, the dining experience elsewhere was disappointing. Only 2 out of the 5 dining options were open during our stay, which significantly limited choice. The main dining room felt more like a large canteen than a luxury hotel restaurant. Despite there being a dress code, many large groups were dining in golf attire, which detracted from the overall atmosphere. Service in the dining areas was also largely non-existent and lacked the attentiveness expected at this level of hotel. Housekeeping was somewhat inconsistent as well — for example, the minibar was not always refreshed. Overall, the resort has some very strong facilities, particularly the spa, gym, beach and pool areas, but the dining and service experience fell short of expectations for a Kempinski property.

Good room, a few cracks in the marble around the bath. Air-conditioning, very noisy

The rooms are large and well equipped but some of the lights did not work. The seating in the bar areas is too big and I found myself hunting for extra cushions to support my back otherwise you were laying down horizontal! The restaurant food was great but I would not recommend the a la carte as the cost was €25 per head and we found that the food served was available in the buffet restaurant the next night. The house wine was good and seating in the buffet restaurant was better outside as inside was more like a cafe. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool.

Fantastic One of my best holidays Thank you so much

The hotel was tired. Our golf view rooms were swapped due to building work outside. We were given side sea view rooms which looked directly into another hotel which also had building work. The rooms were well equipped but the towels were hard and well worn. There was only one a la carte restaurant and the supplement was high at 25euros. The buffet was well supplied and the staff were very helpful. The shuttle bus to the golf courses worked well.

Hotel closing for a refurb, so some of the gripes will doubtless not be relevant when it reopens in March. Aircon iffy. Noise from the building works not pleasant. The restaurant area needed some attention.

Overall a wonderful experience. My only concern was having a rear facing balcony as the hotel did not appear anywhere near full. The front facing balconies had a wonderful view of the sea and pools. I would not take another rear facing room.

2nd year running we have stayed here and once again it was faultless. This time we were staying at one of their villas with its own private pool and it was fantastic, we had the use of a golf buggy to run back and forth to the hotel which is about 1/4 of a mile away, walking distance really, on the one occasion it was wet the concierge at the hotel run us back down to the villa . We shall return.
