Killarney Golf and Fishing Club may be one of the most beautiful places in the world to play golf. In contrast to the rugged charms of Ireland's countless seaside courses, Killarney is a tranquil oasis set on the banks of the lakes, but also boasts three genuine championship tests.

Killeen Course
The Killeen Course is the most established at Killarney, and is a proven tournament host, having welcomed the ladies for the Curtis Cup in 1996, and also the European Tour professionals for the Irish Open in 1991 and 1992. In winning the first of his successive triumphs, Nick Faldo battled in characteristic fashion to be one of only three players to finish under par.
This gives an insight into the difficulty of the course, especially in bad weather. Holes like the tough 13th, known locally as the ‘Tiger Hole', have benefited from recent changes to add length, more water hazards and faster, redesigned greens, as part of a strategy to make this beautiful track even more challenging.
Lackabane Course
Donald Steel's Lackabane Course is the newest addition to Killarney's impressive portfolio, and has already established a reputation for being a formidable test. This parkland track will test the long game of even the best players. Numerous lakes and streams are part of the myriad of hazards to be negotiated around this modern classic.
Mahony's Point Course
Mahony's Point may be the shortest of Killarney's offerings, but it features some of the most entertaining holes around. The highlight of this experience is the closing stretch, not least the famous final hole, a 200-yard par-3 which demands a monstrous carry over the blue water of Killarney's lakes. These courses together are testament to the fantastic golf, and awe-inspiring beauty that can be experienced on a golf break or tour in Killarney.
