Koninklijke Haagsche Golf & Country Club is the third member of the great Dutch trio situated just north of The Hague, which together make up arguably the finest links golf tour on the continent. The golf club itself has been meeting since 1893, but it is the 1939 vision of Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison that is responsible for the golf course in situ today.

Little has changed since the English duo laid out their masterpiece at Koninklijke Haagsche, except some recent work on the greens. The main influence on the style of the course is the local terrain; mounds, humps and hillocks are aided and abetted by gorse and banks of penal rough to create a traditional links course of the highest quality.
The North Sea coastlines, as lovers of British seaside golf will be aware, are seemingly God-given for golf, and some of the best undiscovered gems lie across the water on the continent. Koninklijke Haagsche is certainly one of these, and is central to the golfing experience on the Netherlands' westernmost fringes.
