Le Kempferhof has received critical acclaim since its opening, culminating in 2005 when the Peugeot Golf Guide, equivalent to the Michelin Guide for restaurants, ranked it second in its list of France's best.
Designed by the American golf architect Robert Von Hagge, who is also responsible for other outstanding projects in France and Belgium, the course is 6,588 yards from the tips, which is not particularly long by modern standards, but the slope rating of 145 is evidence of how challenging Le Kempferhof is from the back tees.
There are tees to suit every player, and all are sure to enjoy the perfectly manicured fairways and greens around this French gem, that is a highlight of a golf holiday in the Champagne and Alsace regions.
Le Kempferhof is also home to a highly respected golf academy, where you can consult the resident teachers for expert instruction.
