The Manor House Golf Club
The golf course at the Manor House has been the subject of a considerable investment scheme, designed to improve the layout and conditioning of Peter Allis and Clive Clark's original creation.
The 6,500 yard result is one of the best courses in the South of England, and as such has been awarded HSBC's coveted Gold Star, while Today's Golfer has included the Manor House at Castle Combe in its list of the UK's leading 15.
Hotel Information
The 48 rooms are divided between the Manor House and the Grade II listed Mews Cottages, and are individually designed to couple the traditional style of the buildings with the finest contemporary amenities. The original character of the historic manor house has been retained with four-poster beds, free-standing baths, open fireplaces and exposed oak beams.
The Manor House's excellent conference and meeting facilities make it a great choice not only for golf breaks, but also for your next corporate outing.

We just got back from our golf break to the Manor House at Castle Combe and we were keen to thank Your Golf Travel for recommending it and for the excellent service we got.
The golf course was excellent, one of the best I've played on in all my years of travelling around and going on golf holidays. The layout keeps you thoroughly entertained and it is one of the most picturesque golf courses I have ever seen. If you are of a less sporty disposition or are getting a bit long in tooth I would recommend hiring a buggy as the undulations and steep hills make it quite a hike. The conditioning of the course was top class and I would like to highlight the importance of accurate ball striking due to a fair few tight tee shots.
The clubhouse was excellent and was in keeping with the whole set up of the golf resort. Golf clubs of this standard can often be up themselves but everyone we spoke to was friendly and welcoming...we felt right at home which made the whole golf trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable. Food and drink was good value for money as well.
I couldn't fault the hotel. I got what I paid for and the ambience was warm and welcoming. We were made to feel very special.The location was lovely and we had no problems with finding the place and I'm useless at reading a map!
I couldn't rate the golf trip as anything less than a ten out of ten and the same goes for our dealings with Your Golf Travel. On arriving at The Manor House Hotel we decided to drive to the golf club to view the facilities. We checked in with the pro shop and mentioned that we were due to be dining in the clubhouse that evening and were told that the concierge would arrange transport to and from the hotel.
On arriving at the restaurant, the waiter asked our name and ticked us off on the list, we were then shown to our table and proceeded to enjoy a fantastic meal coupled with outstanding service.
The Manor House golf course in Castle Combe is simply fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our two rounds. The par 3s in particular are outstanding and it is always fun to play a course with five par 5s!
Thanks again Your Golf Travel for a fantastic golf break. We have used your services on a number of occasions and will do so on many more to come. As far as value for money, product knowledge and service goes you just can’t be beaten for golf breaks.

Castle Combe was an excellent break, which we all enjoyed very much. The golf course was a monster, not suitable for high handicaps and you definitely need a buggy, which at £26 are not cheap. Course was in superb condition. Clubhouse was large and airy, staff attentive. We ate their one night and were well looked after. Hotel was first class, rooms not big but very comfortable and bathrooms huge. We all thought that the bedrooms could do with air con as it was quite warm and the windows in the cottages were not very big to let air through. Michelin star restaurant was very good but were badly let down on wine. You don't expect to be told there was only one bottle of each of the white and red we had ordered when we tried to reorder! Breakfast was very slow on the second day, when we had to be at the course at 7.45, but overall we much enjoyed our golf break.
