Set in quiet countryside just a short drive from Lille, lies the Merignies Golf and Country Club. One of the newest golf courses in France. The original 9 holes were built in 2008 with an additional 18 holes being added as recently as 2014.
Like a links, Merignies offers large and varied holes, affordable by everybody, but challenging for the best golfers, with strategically placed bunkers and ominous water features. The courses stand for their quality, due to important and technological investments in maintenance. Greens are fast and true, fairways are like carpets. Merignies also boasts the largest and most comprehensive practice facilities around Lille including a driving range and three separate practice greens where players can practice putting, chipping and bunker play. It also boasts the newest and best systems to maintain the golf course making it playable year round.
In 2018 Mergnies Golf & Country Club celebrated its 10 Years, and was nominated for the 'Best' Golf course in France award.
Two restaurants can be found in the Clubhouse, one a la carte the other offering more of a Brasserie feel with a Bar.

It is known as the most undulating course in the ‘flatlands’ and thus is a more interesting golf challenge than others in the area. Strategically placed bunkers and imposing water hazards provide the course’s main defences so course management is more important than brute strength! It also commands great views across the region.
La Valutte was the second 9 hole track to be built and opened in 2010 (PAR 34). Built with a 'Scottish' feel its great for those looking to increase their skills but also offers enough for the more experienced players. The full 18 hole experience measures 5826 yards from the tips and featuring several tee locations, these courses will provide an enjoyable test of golf to players of all levels.
In May 2014 Merignies opened its 3rd 9 hole, named Rupilly (PAR 37). This course is the more technical of the 3, offering panoramic views and its plays through small 'valleys'.
A fourth 9 hole course is currently under construction and is planned to be open some time in 2019. Once open Meriginies will be able to offer 36 holes of some of the best golf in Northern France.
The Merignies Golf Club also boasts ample practice facilities including a brand new driving range and a practice putting green where players can sharpen their senses before teeing off.
This course and club has improved compared to our last visit and because they can water course was in very good condition.
