    Pwllheli Golf Club

The clubhouse at Pwllheli is closer to the sea than anyother in the United Kingdom, underlining the genuine links of the original nine holes. These were designedby Tom Morris of Hoylake in 1900, and are carved between the coastline’s sanddunes, and are a genuine test of seaside golf.

In 1909, the course was extended to its full length with theaddition of the parkland loop mapped out by the great James Braid. The uniquechallenge of Pwllheli and its 6,108 yard course draws visitors back year afteryear, and is a fine part of any golf tour of the rugged shoreline.
