I just wanted to send a quick note of thanks on the excellent golf break to Shendish which was well above the expectations of both myself and my playing partner. I am a great believer in praise where it's due, so congratulations and many thanks, best regards,
Darren
We had a very pleasant golf break at Shendish Manor.
The rooms were very clean in the hotel and the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was really easy to find and there was ample parking.
We really enjoyed the golf course at Shendish Manor and although it was on the short side, the mature trees and undulations made it a challenge. Praise must go to the green keeping staff as the condition of the course was outstanding. The pro in the shop and the staff at the reception were also very accommodating.
Unfortunately one of our tee times was at 7:56 (we requested this) which meant we couldn’t have a sit down breakfast because it started at 8. Thankfully though bacon baps had been prepared for us and we got them at the golf reception.
The service at lunch didn’t quite live up to the rest of the weekend but the food was great and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.
The service from Your Golf Travel was exemplary and I will be using you again in the future. Thanks for all the hard work and for arranging the early tee time as per our request. It was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend golf break.

We visited the Shendish Manor Hotel last week and thought the package we had bought from Your Golf Travel was excellent value for money. The hotel was really nice and our rooms were first class. Its location is good as it is really easy to find thanks to its location close to the m25. Despite being so close to the motorway the course was very peaceful and surprisingly quiet. Breakfast came in the form of a buffet and it was very nice with lots of choice on offer.
The course at Shendish Manor is great. The first seven holes are nice but nothing to write home about. As soon as you get to the eighth though, the course transforms into a different animal. Featuring undulating fairways and mature woodland, the course as a whole will be a good test of golf for any player.
Compared with other golf break packages I have purchased in the past this rates as a 9/10 and I will certainly not hesitate to recommend Your Golf Travel to friends as I will be booking my future golf holidays through you!

Just recovered from another little jolly up at the Shendish Manor Golf Club. This was our second golf break at Shendish and whilst the first 6 holes of the course are a little short the remaining 12 are absolutely fantastic, with the 8th being my favourite. The greens were playing a dream with every putt requiring an accurate read. The course is challenging for all players and whilst the first 6 are short, they are still very testing!
The clubhouse is cosy and the prices are fair. All of the staff members are very friendly and polite and the food served was really nice and great value for money.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are fantastic, I really cannot find fault in any aspects of the hotel. The breakfast was great as there are many choices both hot and cold; perfect preparation for a day on the golf course.
Overall I would give this venue 9 out of 10 and will definitely be returning in the future. YGT have been fantastic, this is my 2nd golf break with you and it definitely won’t be my last!

From the outset, I found the Your Golf Travel website extremely helpful and much better than others I looked at. After I had decided where and when to book, the service I received over the telephone was excellent. Once it was established that Shendish Manor could not exactly meet our ideas in respect of the timing of our rounds, you took the initiative and sorted out an arrangement that would work for us. That arrangement worked out perfectly. In fact, playing 27 holes each day, rather than 36 holes one day and 18 the next, personally suited me very well.
The golf course matched its description. As a par 70 course, with only two par 5s, it is not especially long and the first four holes are fairly gentle. But it certainly becomes more of a challenge after that. We had to endure a few showers but the course was in excellent condition nevertheless and all of the greens remained fully playable. It is definitely a place to stay out of the heavier rough where it is very easy to lose your ball, and the greens have some very tricky slopes which make putting a challenge. This course really suits the club golfer but better players would probably find it too easy.
The hotel is a very attractive old manor house with modern wings containing very comfortable rooms. I believe it has a lot of facilities, but we concentrated on the golf! The food in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner was excellent, although the choices for dinner could have been a little more varied (two of the six starters were terrines, two of the five desserts were cheesecakes). But that is a minor quibble. The service in the restaurant, in fact throughout the hotel and golf complex was absolutely first class. The mainly young staff appeared very happy in their work and were in every respect helpful and friendly, making our golf break a totally enjoyable experience.
This was my first ever golf break and I can say we enjoyed every minute of it. I would without doubt recommend Your Golf Travel to others wishing to book a similar golf break.

We thought the golf course at Shendish Manor was great. It was a good test for all of the players in our group who had varying handicaps, suggesting that this course is ideally suited for groups of golfers looking for a weekend golf break. The condition of the course was great. This was the first course I have played with USGA greens and I can see it certainly makes a difference.
The quality of the golf was not reflected in the service we got in the restaurant. Food was very slow to come to the table which cut down the amount of free time we had. The rest of the hotel was fine and I’m sure I would go on another golf break to Shendish Manor if the service in the restaurant improved.
