Followers of Colt’s creations, of which there will be many, will know that the 7th hole is widely regarded to be the single finest that he produced, and is believed to be the inspiration for Augusta National’s spine-tingling short 12th. Stoke Park was included in Golf World’s list of the world’s Top 100 Golf Courses, which grants a good insight into the quality of Colt’s layout.
