The London Club
The London Golf Club opened in 1993 and since then has garnered a considerable reputation as one of the finest golf clubs in the South of England, largely thanks to its two outstanding championship golf courses; The Heritage Course and the International Course.
In addition to the two marvelous golf courses, one of which was designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, The London Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a 330 yard driving range and a number of practice greens and bunkers which are aimed to replicate the conditions you will find on either of the two fantastic golf courses. A top class clubhouse and a well positioned halfway house complete the package.

The Heritage Course is considered as a classic Jack Nicklaus design which calls for shots to be shaped both ways from the tee as well as from the fairways. Numerous water hazards and huge, unconventionally shaped greenside bunkers are the main obstacles to a good score on a course where accurate approach play is of paramount importance. Hit it close and the USGA specification greens will give you a good chance of making some birdies but if your approach shot aren’t up to scratch you may well be left facing a monster approach putt due to the sheer size of the putting surfaces. Five sets of tees make the course playable for golfers of many abilities but for those just starting out in the game the Heritage’s sister course, The International, will provide a slightly more manageable test of golf.
Measuring 7,005 yards from the tips, The International Course will pose a serious challenge to even the most talented players however it is not exclusive to only the lower handicappers. Four sets of tees mean the course can play as little as 5.494 yards oand thus is accessible for a great variety of golfers. Undulations and elevation changes make club selection tricky; combine this with pot bunkers and huge expanses of water and sand and you have a course that demands precision, course management and imagination in order to score well. Much like The Heritage Course, The International is maintained to the very highest standards as has garnered a reputation as one of the finest downland courses in Europe. Watch out for the exciting par 5 4th which has been set up to allow players to play the hole in regulation while tempting the big hitters into to going for the green in two. This is a truly magnificent par 5 that reflects the quality of the rest of the course.
