Just to let you know we had a great time at abbotsley - thank you we have decided on our next golf event which is Sunday 21st & Monday 22 September can you please give us some choices for exactly the same type of arrangement as we have just had thanks and best regards,
Gavin
Sorry we had no photos to show for our golfing break as we had so much fun and golf we really did not think to take any. We did however make a promise to ourselves that we have found a gem of a deal and should pass this to all our friends whom we will ask along next time. The two courses are a treat but the championship course won hands down. We will be contacting you again soon.

The Abbotsley hotel is a standard low budget no frills hotel. The rooms served our purpose and were perfectly comfortable for a night’s sleep...on a golf holiday this is really all you should need from a room! The welcome was good and the breakfast we had on arrival was great. The restaurant food in the hotel was excellent and unfortunately outshone the service. The bar was open until 3.00am which was a pleasant surprise even if it was to the detriment of the next day’s golf! They also had a big screen showing the Golf so that we could watch Rory stroll his way into the history books. There was a small games room as well which was fun to use if you wanted to carry on the competition from the course into the evenings!
We played the Cromwell course on the Saturday and soon found out it was an open course with generous landing areas - ideal for the big hitters! There wasn’t much in the way of rough and many trees are at a young stage so the big man in our group tore the place apart! There was a nice butty wagon on the 10th as well. I would say this course is ideal for any beginners who are looking to go on their first golf break.
The Abbotsley course was a more mature course and as such was a tough course for the novice and still challenging enough for the seasoned ‘pro’. The 11th hole (the signature hole) was stunning and some of the course took your breath away in more ways than one! I would recommend buggies if you’re like me and need to shed a bit of ‘holiday weight’!
On both courses the help and advice in the pro shops was extremely good and very welcome. We soon realised that we had played the courses in the correct order, as playing the Cromwell on the Saturday sets you up nicely to play the Abbotsley on the Sunday.
The service that was received from Your Golf Travel was yet again first class. I was contacted at every stage of organising a 12 man golf weekend. When organising such a big group golf break it is reassuring to know that YGT care about their customers and are on hand to solve any problems that may crop up. Top marks.

My wife and I recently embarked on a golf break to the Abbotsley Hotel Golf & Country Club and we had a marvellous time. We booked the Sunday Special golf holiday package from Your Golf Travel and were delighted with all aspects of our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and despite there being a big party at lunchtime and another one in the evening, we were very well looked after in the restaurant and the bar.
The Abbotsley Course was in good condition given the obvious drought condition and the greens were good if a little slow. The lay out was interesting and varied and the last three holes were very challenging indeed. You need to keep your head to prevent ruining your score over the challenging closing holes.
We were very pleasantly surprised with the Cromwell Course and again it was very well laid out. Although it was not as tight as the Abbotsley, it was varied and interesting and if anything the greens were in even better condition.
A very enjoyable stay and if we are in the area again we will certainly return.

The golf courses at Abbotsley were fantastic. We loved the layout of the Abbotsley and golfers are treated to very pleasant scenery. The ground was a bit hard in some areas but the overall condition was good. It is a playable course for all abilities but suits long hitters down to the ground. The Cromwell Course was good as well…not as nice as the Abbotsley but worth a go while you are there on a golf break.
The clubhouse was grand. Lots of space both inside and out and the bar prices were reasonable. The food was tasty and the portions were generous and our hotel rooms were perfectly comfortable.
I would rate the whole experience a 8.5 out of ten and with the room, dinner, lunch, and golf all included in the golf holiday package, it is very good value for money.
I would recommend YGT to a friend.

Thank you for organising our golf trip to the Abbotsley Golf and Country Club. The accommodation was excellent, the hotel staff were helpful and happy to cater for anything we asked for and very polite with it too. The food was delicious and very well presented...all in all the hotel side of the resort was perfect for a weekend golf break.
The Abbotsley course was quite demanding and a real challenge. I think anybody who has played it will remember the "Mouse Hole"...I know I certainly will! The Cromwell course was a lot more forgiving and also very enjoyable. The two courses provide a great variety of golf and as such I would say the Abbotsley is a great destination for a weekend golf holiday.
All in all an excellent golf break.

The Abbotsley is extremely well priced and our golf break there was great value for money.
The staff all through club and hotel were all very helpful and my wife and I had a very pleasant stay for the duration of the golf break. The rooms were ideal for an overnight stay and the food in the evening was tasty and well presented.
Both of the golf courses were a good test for mid handicap golfers and we both commented how good both courses were. The Abbotsley Course was a bit trickier than the shorter Cromwell Course but both layouts were very enjoyable with a good mixture of holes. We would definitely recommend these golf courses and Abbotsley as a venue for a weekend golf break.

We had a great golf break at the Abbotsley Hotel, Golf & Country Club which was also great value for money. The Abbotsley Course was in great condition and the layout was challenging and enjoyable. The Cromwell Course was a lot easier but was also in great nick. The staff throughout the resort were extremely friendly and very helpful.
I would recommend this golf break to other golfers and will definitely book my next golf break with Your Golf Travel.
