Palmerston Course
Donald Steel’s Palmerston Course winds through mature Corsican, Scots and Hornbeam pine trees, and is a challenging par 73 test. The designer has made full use of the natural landscape to create truly amazing hazards which are as beautiful as they are treacherous.
Melbourne Course
Laid out around and across the River Lea, the Melbourne Course is a golf course of immense beauty. The stunning land was manipulated into a championship course by the great duo of Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, who made full use of the 18th century parkland. A unique touch makes the finish even more special – golfers are transported to the final green via the Broadwater ferry.
Overlooking the golf courses and the Broadwater is the majestic clubhouse, which is not only the place to relax after a round, but also boasts an excellent banqueting hall which is the ideal stage for a lunch or dinner as part of a corporate golf event at Brocket Hall.

The historic Melbourne Lodge has been transformed into a stunning country house hotel, with 16 bedrooms that have been decorated and furnished in the most luxurious fashion.
The house was the estate’s former stable block, and with heed to that fact, each of its bedrooms is named after one of the era’s most prominent racehorses. Whether you stay in Northern Dancer, Nijinsky or Red Rum, your stay will be in the utmost comfort.
Chef Phil Thompson is one of the Michelin Guide’s rising stars – his menus at the elegant Auberge Du Lac restaurant are among the most intricate and subtle to be found outside central London.
Brocket Hall is also renowned for its terrific wine cellar, ensuring the perfect complement to the fine dining of Auberge Du Lac.
