The golf course is the obvious star of Carnoustie, but the hotel is just the accompaniment required. Guests can enjoy the ultimate golfing experience thanks to the Open hosting Championship Course plus its able supporters, the Burnside and Buddon.
First class leisure facilities, including a large swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym provide guests with the perfect way to refresh themselves. Extensive health and beauty treatments are also available.
Eat in the formal Dalhousie Restaurant for a fusion of Mediterranean and Scottish cuisine.

Just got back from our trip to Carnoustie and I thought I'd just let you know that everything went extremely well. I'm not sure how you managed to arrange such incredible weather for us but it couldn't have been better ! We are now already thinking about another trip in possibly October this year. All 3 courses were in fantastic condition for our golf break at Carnoustie Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa, absolutely no water underfoot in spite of the recent lashing. Best course condition I've seen for this time of year, and that's after playing Turnberry Ailsa 4 weeks ago.
The new clubhouse is light & fresh, and the staff are very hospitable. Guys on the starter boxes are a credit to the golf courses, especially their honesty in warning us about the quality of the food & service in the hotel.
The hotel offered reasonable value for money, but could be doing with some investment or upgrading. Rooms were nice, spacious, clean & tidy although it would have been nice to be offered a room with a view of the course! Didn't use the spa or leisure facilities, but looked a welcome addition to the hotel.
The location of the hotel is good and offers relatively easy to access, short walking distance to all local amenities.
My overall verdict is that I would give it 7 out of 10, but that's mostly from the excellent golf experience.
The service from YGT was excellent, look forward to using them again in the future.
