Voted Welsh Golf Club of the Year in 2007, and once again the host of the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open in 2008, Conwy is a highly regarded golfing venue. Added to the many accolades, and perhaps the fundamental cause of them, is the fantastic links course.

The Caernarvonshire coastline is often buffeted by stiff winds, which makes Conwy a serious test at times. The history of the golf course is tumultuous; the original layout was conceived in 1869, but the two World Wars had a profound effect on the transformation of the links. Almost lost in the 1940s, Conwy as it is known now is the result of golf architect Frank Pennink's vision.
Rugged and unflashy, Conwy is a seaside gem, and is a classic option for a golf tour in north Wales.
