The Valley Course is the star attraction at Crane Valley, a stunning par 72 layout devised by Donald Steel, the architect responsible for some of the modern era's best new courses.
The charming Dorset countryside sets the stage for Steel's lovely course, which is a good test for players of all abilities. 6,424 yards is relatively short for a modern parkland course, but this ensures that Crane Valley is both manageable and enjoyable for everyone.
Crane Valley also sports an entertaining little nine-hole course, the Woodland, which is perfect for beginners. This Dorset hidden gem is an interesting new addition to the golfing scene around Bournemouth, and is a great choice for a stop on a Bournemouth golf tour.
