Prague is a magical city, and is now one of Europe's most visited capitals. This is down to a number of factors; the city's monumental skyline is created by the extraordinary architecture, borne from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Art Nouveau, Cubist and Functionalist movements.
The Vlatva River, which curves gently through Prague's centre, is adorned with a series of beautiful bridges, the most famous of which is the 14th century Charles Bridge. While it may not be as cheap as it was before the boom of low cost flights, Prague still offers great value for money, and has something for everyone; the cultural and historical attractions of the Old Town, and the awe-inspiring views from the Petrin Gardens are just two of the examples of Prague's emergence as a metropolis of real fascination.
The city is also famed for its nightlife, ranging from fantastic pubs, founded on the outstanding local Czech beer and wine from Moravia, to endless dance floors and clubs for both ladies and gentlemen - a particular hit with the stag and hen parties.
