Karlštejn Golf Resort stands out as one of Europe's most stunning golf courses and is among the most popular destinations in the Czech Republic. The 18 hole championship layout, which opened in 1993, was crafted by renowned Canadian designers Les Furber and Jim Eremke and offer breathtaking views of the historic Karlštejn Castle.
The serene, wooded hills adorned with limestone formations, teeming with diverse wildlife and plant life, create a tranquil haven, all just a short 40-minute drive from the heart of the Czech capital. The excellent layout at Karlstejn hosted a European PGA Tour event in 1997, and has also been selected for the Czech Open on countless occasions.

Set against the backdrop of the Karlstejn Castle, the layout features forgiving fairways, but the changes in elevation make approaching the greens difficult. The putting surfaces are tricky, and are protected by intelligently positioned bunkers and deep rough.
The 6,389 yard layout is both challenging and enjoyable, and is within easy reach of Prague. From spring 2008, the already impressive development at Karlstejn will offer a further nine holes to its visitors, and is an integral part of a good golf holiday to the fantastic city of Prague.
