DURLEY DEAN HOTEL

We've been using Your Golf Travel for quite a few years now, taking two golf trips a year that have been organised brilliantly each and every time! We always have a great time but our recent golf tour was the best yet. The Durley Dean Hotel was excellent and everything about the trip was hassle free! We turned up at each golf course at the appointed time to find everyone courteous and accommodating. We never had to wait and the quality of the golf courses was really exceptional; even the weather was kind to us! The general consensus was that Isle of Purbeck was the best golf course we played but Canford Magna and Ferndown certainly gave it a run for its money!

We had a great golf break in Bournemouth. The Durley Dean Hotel gets a 9/10! The rooms were clean, the food was good and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. One of our single rooms was a bit small, but that was the only criticism we had.

The Riverside Course at Canford Magna was a lovely golf course - quite straightforward i.e. good for a golf holiday! We intend to go back there next summer and play it again as well as the neighbouring Parkland Course.

Meyrick Park was a good course as well. It was quite tight and tree lined which offered more of a challenge than Canford Magna. It had the most fearsome opening par 3 that I can recall ever playing! Particularly with twenty or so people watching your shot! It was very busy on Saturday so it was quite slow (4.5 hrs) but that didn't matter...we were on a golf holiday after all!

Dudsbury had been recommended to us, and was indeed a very lovely course. The Pro let us on with a 'two for one' deal when we told him we were on a golf break, which was kind of him.

Overall though, a great three days, and tremendous value!
