Headfort Golf Club, in the heart of County Meath, is a gem of a club which boasts two highly celebrated parkland courses. These championship layouts, the New and Old, are often added to Dublin golf tour packages, and although the journey from the city centre is upwards of 30 minutes, it is well worthwhile.

Established in 1928, Headfort is best known for what is now known as the Old Course, a fantastic championship parkland test that makes full use of the fantastic local terrain. In 2000, the club took advantage of an opportunity to purchase a neighbouring parcel of land, and this move began the process of Headfort's second course.
Irish golfing legend Christy O'Connor Junior was the man gifted the responsibility of creating the new layout, and the result is magnificent; known already for its fantastic short holes, the New Course at Headfort is a joy to behold.
